Commencing her career as a Social Worker as a Youth Advocacy and Support Worker for Micah, Jessica has extensive history and experience working with vulnerable people. Her vast experience working in diverse settings and specialising in working with young people and people living with disabilities and child protective services has equipped Jessica to bring her expertise with a compassionate approach. In 2021, Jessica commenced working as a Direct Service Facilitator and specialised in youth counselling, family counselling, crisis intervention, and advocation.
Since joining Ascent Rehabilitation in 2021, Jessica has progressed in her role as a Rehabilitation Consultant through working with clients of different age profiles and a range of mental health and physical issues. Jessica has a passion for working with younger people in advocating for their goals and supporting their journey to their pre-injury lifestyle. She has a great belief in providing each client with integrity, dignity, and with a non-judgemental attitude to create a trusted, respected, and healthy working relationship. Due to her exceptional interpersonal skills Jessica has quickly established herself within the industry and is one of our most specifically requested consultants for new referrals. While her skillset and approach lead her to be very effective on mental health claims, she has also demonstrated herself to be equally influential on complex physical claims.
Jessica possesses unique knowledge of emotional intelligence for those living with a disability, which aids her interpersonal skills with using effective verbal communication, advocating for a client’s emotional wellbeing, and providing efficient counselling and motivation techniques. Jessica incorporates the Code of Ethics for Social Workers to endeavour with resolving personal and interpersonal problems and improve her client’s emotional and physical well-being.
