New Graduate Rehabilitation Consultant

Ascent Rehabilitation is a highly regarded boutique provider of Occupational Rehabilitation services in the ACT, with a focus on quality and integrity across all aspects of the business.

If you are a new graduate (or soon to be graduate) Occupational Therapist, Exercise Physiologist, Social Worker, Rehabilitation Counsellor, Nurse, Psychologist, or Physiotherapist, this is your opportunity to start your career in a fun, vibrant, and inclusive team of multidisciplinary and experienced allied health professionals. We don’t hire often because we have a dedicated team of highly experienced health professionals, but we feel compelled to offer the opportunity for you to learn from the best and start your career with success.

About us:

Culture is everything to us, and we have deliberately created a positive workplace where all our staff want to come to work. We take any excuse to come together for team lunches, activities, and milestone celebrations. We value staff development and have a comprehensive induction program that will equip you to commence your professional career with success. This has been reflected in our Rehabilitation Consultants from Ascent Rehabilitation being exclusively awarded the ARPA ACT Best New Starter Award two years in a row.

We are a reflective organisation and are constantly seeking to improve – we want to hear to all your ideas, critiques, and creative approaches. We provide a high level of support through formal and informal peer mentorship. We encourage our staff to work independently and embrace flexibility, but support is easily available and accessible when needed. Our office is a welcoming and open space, and we encourage collaborative discussion to support and learn from others.

At Ascent Rehabilitation, we aspire to bring excellence to the Occupational Rehabilitation industry. For you, this means tailored training and support, mentoring by highly skilled and experienced peers, and support to tailor your career. As we only hire the best, you will be rewarded with above industry wages, and professional development budgets. Ongoing, we uphold our value of lifelong learning and support our staff to develop in their specific areas of interest.

About the role:

A career in Occupational Rehabilitation is dynamic, rewarding, and challenging. No two days are ever the same. As a Rehabilitation Consultant, you assist with a worker’s recovery following a workplace injury or illness. This involves conducting assessments, undertaking case management, interacting with a wide range of stakeholders, and using your clinical knowledge to positively, and often creatively, help an injured worker through their recovery and return to work. We work with employers and workers in a vast variety of industries, and there are always new roles and environments to learn about and tailor recovery to.

Your role will include:

  • A caseload and KPI’s, which increase as you progress through training and become more confident. Your final KPI is easily achievable within standard working hours, which allows for non-billable activity within working hours.

We are a business that places a strong emphasis on our team’s work-life balance, strictly avoiding weekend or on-call work.

Who we are looking for:

  • You have a great attitude, a strong desire to learn, a passion to implement positive change, and most of all, a genuine willingness to help people.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapist, Exercise Physiologist, Social Worker, Psychologist, Rehabilitation Counsellor, or Physiotherapist (with association registration).
  • You have a driver’s licence, and your own reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance (travel reimbursements apply).
  • Current National Police Check.
  • Current Working with Vulnerable People check.

Send in your Resume, and a two page cover letter to admin@ascentrehab.com.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact the Ascent Rehabilitation Office directly on (02) 6156 4109.
