After graduating from the University of Queensland in 2012, Damien began his career in Physiotherapy at Queen Street Physiotherapy in Brisbane. After gaining his first position as a Physiotherapist, Damien commenced his career with the interest of aiding people specifically affected by musculoskeletal injuries. Damien provided qualified, professional services in Spinal Manipulation, Sports Injuries, Sports Medicine, Deep Tissue Massage, Dry Needling, and Strength Training as a holistic toolkit in aiding people to return to a better quality of life in their physical health and wellbeing. Between 2016 and 2018, Damien worked in both Occupational Rehabilitation and as an Injury Management Advisor for a Queensland CTP insurer.
Upon returning to Canberra in 2018, Damien returned to the Insurance industry as a Rehabilitation Consultant. Damien transitioned his unique knowledge from Physiotherapy into the Insurance industry through specialised services in Exercise Physiology, Manual Therapy, and Injury Prevention to support his clientele suffering from physical conditions, and using his knowledge in the field to offer tailored pain management programs. Since joining Ascent Rehabilitation in 2022, Damien has progressed in his role as a Senior Rehabilitation Consultant through working with a range of clients with an assortment of physiological injuries.
Through his experience as a Physiotherapist and Rehabilitation Consultant, Damien has gained outstanding interpersonal skills, using effective verbal and written communication, which assists in developing positive, and successful relations with each client. Damien incorporates the evidence-based practice in Physiotherapy to integrate clinical expertise, evidential-based research, and patient values to provide comprehensive and consistent patient care through best practice methods.
