Biography

After graduating from the University of Canberra, Adelaide began her career working as a Registered Nurse at The Canberra Hospital. Adelaide was selected to commence her position in the exclusive and desirable Perioperative Graduate Program. Adelaide was mentored in the program to become an Anaesthetics Recovery and Extended Day Surgery Nurse to specialise in clinical evaluation, pain management, anaesthetics management, and general pre and post operative care for one year. After gaining valuable experience in the Perioperative Graduate Program, Adelaide transitioned her clinical knowledge into working within the Emergency Department. Adelaide further developed her communication and problem-solving skills, as well as, increasing her knowledge of medical conditions and treatments. Adelaide had 3 years clinical experience before joining the Ascent Rehabilitation team. She was passionate about her clinical work but viewed Occupational Rehabilitation as an avenue to be able to support the full recovery journey for clients.  

Since joining Ascent Rehabilitation in 2022, Adelaide has progressed in her role as a Rehabilitation Consultant through working with a range of clients with who present with an assortment physiological and psychological issues. Adelaide thrives working within a multidisciplinary team in supporting a client with improving their patient care, life condition, and mental health in their Return to Work journey. Adelaide utilises her clinical expertise in demonstrating care, compassion, and empathy with each client in the achievement of ensuring a positive patient outcome.    

Through her experience as a Registered Nurse, Adelaide has gained outstanding written and verbal communication, which assists her in building a positive rapport with each client and writing exceptional and comprehensive reports. Adelaide endeavours in taking initiative and action in ensuring the greatest quality of work is produced in supporting her client’s journey of recovery. Adelaide has utilised her extensive clinical knowledge to assist with several clients being re-diagnosed and an effective, best practice treatment approach being utilised to develop positive outcomes.  

Adelaide’s special services include acute care, client care, rehabilitative care, and her comprehensive physiological knowledge.
